The Comic Links

Welcome to The Comic Links - TCL (no chance of an IP-equivalent) - Link site for The Comic Project. You won't see a lot of action here. I will update links to the posted comics regularly - Can't predict the frequency yet. This will be useful for people who don't have a lot of bandwidth to spare and also for those who want to get to their favourite comics directly. Also for those who are only interested in the comics and find the other stuff unappealing. I will also be posting links to some of the other "notable" non-comic posts though.

I have all the necessary details - just have to string them together - but
it will take me a while to set it up.

Dear Friends,

This is an awesome effort. I accidentally came across this blog, while looking out for old Indrajal comics. Thanks for taking me back to 1980's. Thanks once again and I hope, the collection will expand further :)

Hey Guys. Great efforts. I have always been on the look out for these childhood comics. I still remember the eager wait for the paperwala who used to bring these comics monthly initially, then bi-monthly, nad finally weekly. But the these comics stopped printing. Anyways thanks guys for the wonderful collection. these r 172 comics. what about rest. i am sure there r more out there.

Dear youngsters, Your posts take me further back than any of you, back to the 60's when I was an avid purchaser of phantom comics. So, I am justified in calling y'all youngsters :-) Hope you don't mind. But you are doing a truly fantastic service by bringing back my childhood. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Amazing effort. You literally brought tears to my eyes and definetly brought back the childhood. I also had a trunk full of Indrajal and Madhur Muskan comics. However when I was in college, I donated them to a labrary-and I sure miss them.
Cheers to you people, keep up the good work.

Down memory lane. I used to get Indrajal comics deliverd by the newspaper carrier.

How do we download them though?. It gives a lot of errors and file being forbidden and doesnt let you download more than one?

Wish it was ealsier to download..

Your blog says you are 35 years. Although I am somewhat younger than you, I would like to believe, we are both from the same magical era of eighties and hence have similar tastes for Phantom, Mandrake, Asterix and Tintin etc. Anyway I am 31. I don't know how say this but you really filled my heart with joy. Thank you very much. I have been searching for this comics like crazy.

Just to express my gratitude, I would like to forward you a weblink for Calvin and Hobbes comics strip.

http://www.marcellosendos.ch/comics/ch/index.html

I assume you have not read Calvin and Hobbes as it is not listed in your Favoritie Books. I discovered it pretty late in my late twenties and they are mindblowing. But it is fair to say Calvin and Hobbes is for grownups whereas Phantom, Mandrakes or Bahadur will always have global appeal as they are amusing not only to a kid but for a grownup as well.

it would be very cool if the comics were a better resolution. I can barely read them. 300 dpi or ppi on 4" x 6" picture would look pretty good. I am sure space is at a premium, but I would rather see 6 good comics than 30 poor ones.
